So after 5 and a half years in Oakland I am moving east to New York city. It has always been a dream of mine to live and create in New York, and I am excited to be there soon. But as we have all learned, it is hard to leave a place.. especially one you love. Oakland has taught me, has listened to me, has shared with me the truth of life. And the sorrow of leaving combined with the joy of having been here creates many harmonies. Here is what came out when i sat down and thought of all of you and all of Oakland and all of everything. Thank you all so much for being exactly who you are. To the Bay Area family, I will miss every one of you and you will be in my thoughts, my music and my heart.. To the New York family, I am excited and humbled by the future and be prepared for some down home Oakland Love!!
